Our Team
Wes founded Palmetto Capital in 2021 as a modern alternative investment manager seeking to better align the interests and incentives between investors and those managing their investments. Prior to founding Palmetto Capital, Wes traded and invested for himself for several years, where he designed and established the actively managed equities and options strategies that would later become the foundation of Palmetto Capital’s core investment strategies. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he specialized in competitor strategy and analysis, company valuation, and equity research. In addition, Wes has a long history of entrepreneurship and as a private investor, holding commercial and venture capital interests across the real estate, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries. Wes holds a B.S. in Business and Political Economy with a focus in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He has also held the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation since 2019 and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation since 2017.
